Economy is No Excuse to Ignore Children in Poverty

The Press-Register (AL) (December 2011) - In an October guest essay for the Press-Register, Max Rose offered some sound ideas to improve the status of poor people in Alabama. Mr. Rose, a fellow at the nonprofit MDC organization in North Carolina, said this: "Last year in Alabama, people with an associate's degree or some college earned $5,215 more than those who had only graduated from high school."
