Elise Connors

Elise Connors is the Program Administrator for Rural Prosperity and Investment. In this role, she provides admin and program support for programs focused on rural capacity building. She is passionate about supporting rural communities, sustainable economic development, and environmental justice and resilience.

She brings experience from her previous work in nonprofit roles focused on supporting programmatic work in environmental and non-formal education. Prior to joining MDC, Elise worked at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, the North Carolina Botanical Garden, the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, and the Carolina Center for Public Service, where her passion for supporting mission-driven organizations began.

Elise graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies (with a concentration in Global Health and Environment and African Studies) and a minor in French. Outside of work, you can find her exploring the outdoors, working out, baking, or out in her garden.
