Paul Janampa

Paul Janampa serves as a Partnership Manager for the Rural Prosperity & Investment, focusing on community resilience. In his role, he supports rural communities, leaders, organizations, and coalitions by providing technical assistance and capacity building, and policy research.

Originally from the San Juan de Lurigancho District of Lima, Peru, and immigrated to southern New Hampshire as a teenager. His personal and family experiences instilled in him a deep sense of advancing equity and a commitment to systemic change, focusing on coalition-building and centering community voice in decision-making spaces.

Paul re-joined MDC in April 2024, having previously served as a Program Associate during the 2022-2023 academic year. Before working at MDC, Paul worked in various sectors, including education, nonprofit organizations, local government, and public heath, where he held roles as an educational advisor, case manager, community outreach coordinator, and project/program manager. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing futbol/soccer, coaching a youth soccer team, and spending time outdoors.
