Sarah Feldman

Sarah Feldman works as a Partnership Manager on MDC’s Rural Prosperity and Investment team, where she supports rural North Carolina communities in advancing projects and programs that support wellbeing and equity.

Originally from rural Western North Carolina, Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts in Languages, Literatures, and Culture from Appalachian State University and a Master’s in Social Work from North Carolina Central University. During graduate school, she interned with the Rural Forward program, supporting work taking place close to her hometown. Prior to joining the MDC staff full-time, Sarah gained experience working in the nonprofit, healthcare, and local government sectors, with a particular focus on issues impacting immigrant communities.

Sarah is dedicated to building community and bringing people together from different backgrounds. She loves traveling, hiking, and road trips, and calls Durham, NC home.
